UCSD Critical Gender Studies

Critical Gender Studies minors are required to take Critical Gender Studies 2A, 2B, 100, 101 and three upper-division courses applicable/petitionable to the Critical Gender Studies major and minor. Students may take all three upper-division courses from our CGS core courses, or from departmental courses. Students who declare the Critical Gender Studies minor with junior or senior standing may petition to substitute two comparable upper-division Critical Gender Studies core courses for Critical Gender Studies 2A or 2B. Critical Gender Studies permits one lower-division course and one upper-division course to be taken P/NP. College grading options vary. Please consult college academic advisors and Critical Gender Studies advisors.

A quarterly list noting Critical Gender Studies courses and related departmental approved and petitionable departmental courses for an upcoming quarter is available when the Schedule of Classes comes out and can be found on the CGS website and at the CGS Main Office HSS 2073.
